Don’t Get Hung Up On Job Titles When Looking For Next Accounting Job

Don't get hung up on job titles when looking for your next job in finance.

Now that may seem like a strange thing to say.

But here's a reason why I think it's important you don't get hung up on job titles.

Every organisation calls jobs, something different.

One sector might describe one role in name, one role in a certain way while another sector might use a title that's completely different.

And for that reason, rather than focussing on the job title, what I suggest you do is you focus your attention on the actual content of the job.

Is the job going to give you the additional experience you're looking for?

Is the job going to give you skills that you're looking to build?

Is the job going to offer you the kind of challenges, the kind of growth you're looking for?

So rather than focus your attention on the job title, focus on the content of the job when evaluating opportunities.
