How it Works

The programme is split into 3 main phases:

  1. Discovery
  2. Marketing
  3. Selling

Discovery Phase

This phase focuses on the foundational work that most don’t do or do poorly.

By the end of the discovery phase you will:

  • Have absolute clarity about what you really want from your next role.
  • Be crystal clear about your experience, knowledge, top skills, strengths and attributes.
  • Have identified and know how to present your key career achievements with impact.
  • Have supporting evidence for each of your key career achievements, best skills and attributes.
  • Be clear about the sacrifices you will and won’t make.

I’ll provide you with the documents and assessments to achieve all of the above effectively and efficiently.

We will also meet by phone or online meeting to review and improve what you have done.

Marketing Phase

The goal of this phase is to create the marketing materials that get you through the shortlisting and invited to a job interview.

By the end of the marketing phase you will have:

  • A ‘One Pager’ that you can provide to recruiters to help them market you more effectively.
  • The ‘know how’ to effectively review job adverts, job descriptions and person specifications and pick out the most important requirements.
  • A CV that markets you effectively for roles and can be tailored quickly.
  • An outline covering letter or email that you can tailor for each role.
  • An improved LinkedIn profile to increase your chances of being found by recruiters and employers.
  • A better job search strategy that utilises the best channels for you.

I’ll provide you with an outline CV format that has worked well for clients along with a supporting guide.  A framework for creating your one pager and creating or revising your LinkedIn profile.

We will meet by phone or online meeting.  I’ll also review and suggest revisions to the CV and other marketing materials as you create them.

Selling Phase

The goal of this phase is to help you to increase the chances of you converting job interviews into job offers.

By the end of the selling phase you will:

  • Be able to identify potential interview questions.
  • Know how to structure answers to different questions.
  • Be better prepared for job interviews.
  • Have completed several mock interviews where we will run through questions and get specific guidance on improving your answers.
  • Have recordings of your mock interviews for you to listen back to and identify areas where you can improve.
  • Go into every job interview with confidence.

I’ll provide you with guides, question banks of the most common interview questions and lists of potential questions for specific roles you are being interviewed. You will also have mock interviews with me.

How Long Does The Programme Last?

It very much depends on you and your situation.  I’ve had clients who have gone through the programme in 6 weeks.

I’ve also had clients who have taken 6-12 months to land their next job, particularly those at a more senior level.

On average people work with me for 3-6 months.

The important thing to note is that you are investing in achieving a result not a number of hours, days or months.  In this case landing your next job.

For that reason I commit to working with clients until they get the result they want.  However long it takes.

    Is the initial consultation really free?

    Yes.  This is an investment decision for you.  It’s important for you to be sure that you could work with me.  Equally I need to be sure that I can work with you and the programme is right for you.

    Do I need to do the whole programme or can I work with you on certain areas related to landing my next job?

    You don’t need to do the whole programme if you believe you only need support in certain areas.  We can discuss this during you no obligation consultation.

    How much is the programme?

    I don’t publish the price on the page.  The reason is that until we have done the initial consultation, I don’t know what you need.  We both also need to be sure that we could work well together.

    It’s an investment but one that past clients have got a payback from on in a relatively short period of time.

    I’m not sure I’m ready for private one to one support yet.  Do you have alternatives?

    Does the programme come with a money back guarantee?

    The short answer is no.  The reason is that there are external factors that neither of us can control like the availability of roles, the preferences of hiring managers and candidates who are deemed a better fit.

    What I can guarantee is that I will support you until you get the result you want, however long it takes.
