postheadericon What are your time stealers?

A lot of people talk about not having enough time.  However, the amount of time we have available is not going to increase.  There are only 24 hours in day or 168 hours in a week.  It is how we use that time that matters.  We all have things that I call time stealers.  These time stealers take our attention away from the things that matter to getting results.  They include things like:

  • E-mail
  • Text messaging
  • Surfing the internet
  • Chatting on the phone during work time

What are your biggest time stealers and what have you found to be most effective in addressing them?

  • My biggest time stealers are Twitter and email in that order

  • What is effective in addressing them?

Making myself spend an hour on building revenue in my business before I open email or look at Twitter.

Limiting email to three times a day (this is hard, I’m an addict)

Only leave tweets when I have completed another hour of work

Now, I need to make that a goal and write it out where I can see it.

Setting a goal is a great way to keep your focus. I also encourage you to ask yourself what’s the worst that could happen if you only check e-mail 3 times a day.

    Keep me posted.
